It is springtime in the garden, with every flower in full bloom. Perhaps the jasmine and geranium are the same now as they were only days before when they grew outdoors. Perhaps. Life, however, is juxtaposition. Laid against the black of the casket, and in the stillness of the parlor, the cut flowers have never smelled as sweetly nor appeared as luminous. The sorrows of life are plentiful, yet the splendor of nature is infinite and eternal. How wonderful to be reminded of this lesson in the unlikeliest of places.
