Some – not all, but enough – have remarked that the smell of the decomposed has an aroma of cherry and almond. If true, it is a reminder of the complexity of existence: that there is a beauty and a frivolity even in those things we find most serious and unpalatable. Perhaps, however, it is commentary on what it means to be truly human. Even in death, and as our bodies physically unmake themselves, we are tied forever to the sweetness of indulgence.
(Nut allergies people- always always do a test patch. We used synthetic notes of nuts to help be as nut allergies friendly as possible. There should be no traces of real nuts in this fragrance. Be sure to talk to your doctor before making any medical decisions. There are real almonds in this.)
