SHIPPING QUESTIONS
MY ORDER SAYS IT WAS SHIPPED
If you have recently received an email saying your order has shipped, but there is not a current scan on it from the post, this means we are still fulfilling your order. The online system we use will email you when we print your packing and shipping labels. We usually print these in bulk.  Since we are a small business, we package everything by hand to ensure quality and safety of your items. Please give us time to do so before you see a scan, which usually is 3 days max after you receive your shipping notification.
WHERE IS MY ORDER
Does your order say its been delivered and it has not? Has the post office stopped scanning your order? Well most often your package will arrive to you. It is common for the posts delivery person to scan packages early without delivering them yet. In this case, packages will usually show up within a couple days. So be patient.  If you have stopped seeing scans, chances are you are international, or if you are located in the US you are experiencing the extreme delays due to covid-19. If you are international, you may need to contact your local post and give them your tracking info. Most often posts will hold onto packages until duty fees are paid. We are not responsible for these payments, and will not lie on our customs forms.
PACKAGE INSURANCE OR BROKEN ITEMS
If you are Domestic we will replace damaged items from transit. We ask for a photo of the damaged item. If you are an international buyer, unfortunately we are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
MIX UPS IN ORDERS
Until robots take over the world someday, we are human and prone to mistakes. Its ok though! It happens! Send us an email with a photo of your packing slip and the item you received that was incorrect and we will replace it.
NOW THE FUN STUFF…
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EAU DE PARFUMS AND PERFUME OILS?
I love this question! Because it's a common one and often people do not realize the simplicity of it. Every perfume you wear needs a carrier to it. Meaning the fragrance needs to be mixed with something to be safe for your skin. Traditional perfumes are commonly spray perfume, whether Eau De Parfum or Eau De Toilette etc. Eau De Parfum means it has the most fragrance oil mixed with perfumers alcohol, Eau de Toilette for example would be less fragrance oil and more alcohol, making it slightly less strong.
Perfume oils use an oil as a carrier, and to wear them you roll them onto your skin. What are the pros and cons? I personally love perfume oils, which is why I started the line with them. With a perfume oil, you are getting the truest form of the scent. The carrier oil does exactly that- carries the scent. Perfume oils will also smell different on each person because of their own unique body chemistry. Traditional Spray perfumes often dilute the fragrance, even if minimally, and tend to smell the same across the board. It is a common misconception that spray perfumes will last longer then oils. The truth is if you want the ultimate staying power one should use both the oil and the spray, creating a layering effect. This is why we have created our Eau De Parfums in our most popular scents.
WHY DOES MY OIL SMELL DIFFERENT ON ME THEN ON MY FRIEND
This is why perfume oils are so special! They will mix with your own bodies chemistry in a unique way, making it a couture scent just for you.
HOW DO I WEAR PERFUME OILS
There is no wrong way to use a perfume oil… that is, in the obvious sense. Do not ingest perfumes. And always do a small test patch on your skin to make sure there are no allergies or irritants specific to you. Otherwise, someone once explained to me the best way to wear a perfume oil is rolling onto your pulse points; Wrists & behind the ears. However, its a perfume secret that you should roll onto the parts of your body that are not exposed… for example, your stomach or chest. your forearms. This way, when your body heats up the scent will gradually release, and the scent will last longer because theses places are less exposed and able to be wiped off or washed off.
HOW LONG DO PERFUME OILS LAST ON YOUR SKIN
Every Body is different. Which is why this question tends to be an impossible one to answer. This entirely depends on your body chemistry. For example, if you are one of the lucky ones, you may be able to roll onto your skin in the morning and still smell it at night. If you are less lucky, we recommend replication every few hours.
I CANT SMELL MY PERFUME ANYMORE
This is another fun one for me to answer… If you are like me and you one day feel like no matter how much you slather yourself with oil you can not smell it anymore, but somehow when you hug someone they can- there is a very simple and scientific reason for this. Basically what happens is your brains function with smell is to respond to good smells and bad smells differently. When your body continually smells a good smell, it ends up signaling the brain that that smell is not harmful or offensive. Your brain then signals your nose that you no longer need to smell it anymore. With smells that are putrid, offensive or dangerous, your brain will constantly signal your nose to let it know there is a potential danger. So, next time you walk by someone and think “God, their perfume is way too strong!” chances are they can not smell it anymore, and therefore need to layer more and more for the nose to be able to pick it up again.
HOW LONG DOES A BOTTLE LAST
For safety reasons, I like to say a perfume oils shelf life should be approx. 1 year to 1.5 years. This is because eventually the chemistry of the fragrance and the oil will change. This is dependent on the elements, the storage, the frequency of oxygen hitting it etc. Spray perfumes can last decades, though their scent will eventually turn as well. Just like your makeup, I feel like it's important to always err on the side of caution and not use anything too old. You will know when it's time to put your bottle to rest, if you have not used it all by then.
WHAT KIND OF OILS DO YOU USE?
All of our perfumes are a combination of Essential Oils and Fragrance Oils. Lets break down the difference between those two to make sure we debunk any common misconceptions. Essential Oils are derived directly from the source. An example of this is Lavender. An Essential Oil of lavender is made from various methods directly using the flower to create a fragrance. Fragrance oils are man made, and done so in various methods as well (tho, finding out how is nearly impossible because this is a treasured recipe and method). And often people believe that because it is made in a lab by humans that it is therefore harmful, and this is certainly not true. Just as using an essential oil without a carrier oil is potentially dangerous. The real secret is where you get your fragrance oils from, and the standards and practices that are used in each lab to ensure there are no harmful chemicals… which brings me to my next question…
ARE YOU PERFUMES CRUELY FREE AND VEGAN
100%. This was very important to me from the beginning of my journey. When I buy my fragrance oils, I am buying them DIRECT. Which means from the manufacture. This means there is no middle man or deceptions of any kinds. This ensures the quality of the oil, and allows me to be able to use only the highest quality and have complete transparency with the company on their ingredients and practices. Buying cheap oils from overseas or online with no reputable source becomes easily to mismanage. There is no way to trace its origins or what the companies policies are. Every item I buy is quality controlled and each company I purchase from also must be cruelty free and vegan. A side note: I have personally been a vegetarian for over 25 years now.
INGREDIENTS
At the bottom of every product will be a description of what is inside each product as well as the container and amount it holds. We do not disclose our formulas, however should you have any specific allergy questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us. Everything we use is as eco friendly as possible and we strive to do our part to protect the planet.
CANT FIND A PRODUCT I ONCE BOUGHT
What a bummer that is huh? Well unfortunately I have some further sad news for you… This product has probably been discontinued. Thats what makes our company so special… all products are made in small batches, and often are limited edition. But chances are if they were holiday exclusives they will come back the following year. And you never know, I sometimes like to do limited amounts of old releases.
HOW DO YOU MAKE YOUR SCENTS
All my fragrances are hand made in small batches. They are all mixed by me. Once the master formula is made, that batch is used to make a certain quantity of perfumes. Once filled, everything is cleaned, labels are placed on by hand and then hand placed in a bag with its card and gemstone. This shows you how much a labor of love these perfumes are.
HOW MANY OF YOU WORK FOR SEANCE
My team is small but mighty! I, Lacey Walker, mix and make each fragrance. I come up with its story and send that to my Brother, Clayton Walker. He writes the beautiful pieces on the back of each card or bottle. The Labels are all designed by me, and then sent over to my sister (my brothers wife) Our creative Director, Karen Davison to be perfected and look professional ( I am a terrible artist.) The three of us work closely together.
My candles are hand made and poured by my mother in law, who has been in the candle business for over 20 years. I make the fragrances, and she makes the candles. I chose to do it this way because her candles were the best I had ever tried hands down. So when it came time to introduce candles to the line, it only made sense to bring in a master. She is also Vegan, and strives to be eco friendly.
We also have an in house team at our office space where we pack and ship orders. These wonderful people keep the orders flowing and the products looking perfect.
My husband, Justin Lewsadder is also always helping me with every imaginable thing.
It was very important to me to keep this a family run business, small and tight knit.
WHAT IS YOUR MISSION STATEMENT
I wouldn’t say we have one per say… but I will say that first and foremost the most important thing to me is to be kind. To run a business with love, integrity and kindness. If you have ever had an issue with an order, or emailed us, or met us at a trade show, I am sure you will know what I am talking about. We strive to go above and beyond. This world needs more kindness. So this is what we dish out. “Kill them with kindness.”
