Mediums knew the "Spirit Trumpet" was identical in effect to holding a conch shell close to one's ear: with the ambient environment isolated, one suddenly hears the air moving in the room and the blood moving in the body. Impressionable mourners would often convince themselves of hearing the voices of passed loves amid these garbled echoes. Still, how telling it is that, when unaided, we perceive so little of what actually exists around us.

Side note: A component of this perfume was inspired by a trip to India I took. While there I had a card reading done that was so accurate. This scent was all around, and very much smells like a Hindi temple- its majestic, strange, deep, and definitely other worldly.
