The Undertaking is smoky, mossy, and quietly pleased with itself - the scent of someone who has accepted being misunderstood and decided to enjoy the ride.

The Story
The wagon leaves the town square with coffins in tow. For the coach's rider, it is anything but a grim business. The road to the cemetery is pleasant and well-worn, and within minutes the smoke of the city's factories are replaced with the scents of cool air and wet moss. The rider knows he may never be invited to fanciful parties or lush parlors, but this moment is his alone to savor. There can be great pleasure in being misunderstood.

This scent is also made as a 4oz Embalming Oil — the same fragrance, mixed from the same master batch, in a dropper bottle for body and hair.
The roller is your perfume. The Embalming Oil hydrates, perfumes your hair, and layers underneath to make the roller last longer.
Pairings
If you love dark, woodsy scents that feel atmospheric, this is a beautiful choice. It pairs especially well with Cemetery for a damp graveyard effect, or Man of Letters for something smokier and more refined.

It is a comforting scent.
Smells as advertised. I live in a forest and this smells like the feeling of walking down the road leading to my house, surrounded by wildlife and nothing else. Would definitely recommend and I’m excited to check out Seance’s other perfumes!

Seance is the most familiar to me, that being the reason for my purchase. It replicates the scent of incense perfectly. Having grown up spiritually, it reminds me of my mom. The smell of incense smoke is wildly comforting. It’s witchy and beautiful.
I have now almost all of the Seance perfumes, and this is my favourite (although i have a few who follow quite closely behind). There is something super unique and maybe witchy about it. I love the incense-y hint, the plum, the smoke- it’s sultry… everything comes together and brings to life my Morticia Adams fantasy! 😍

I’m giving it only 3 stars because it did not smell like Moss, Earth, Smoke, and Plum.
It smelt like straight incense and musk.
I am a women and really wanted to smell like the earth and moss. Just soft smells of nature like on a rain cloudy day. I know that’s hard to recreate but I had high hopes and was really let down. It’s more men. I should of known with the musk and incense but I didn’t expect it to be the only smells..
I really hope one day you can recreate one for women that smells like those beautiful rainy days while walking down a trail surround by green wet trees and grass ❤️
I absolutely love this perfume it is what I wear all the time! Everyone I encounter really likes it! I have a hard time finding cologne I really like but this really trumps everything I’ve ever tried! I really hope this gets a bigger bottle <333
Pacts a punch and honestly smells wonderful. Lasts super long, I put some on at 4am and I was still smelling it by 6pm
