What Is an Embalming Oil?
Despite the name, our Embalming Oil is for the living. It’s a concentrated, super-hydrating lotion oil for body, hair, and bath, made with nourishing oils and free of parabens, palm oil, and harsh chemicals. Unlike heavy creams that sit on the surface, it sinks in within minutes, leaving skin soft, scented, and suspiciously well-preserved.
Perfume Oil vs. Embalming Oil
Same fragrance, mixed from the same master batch. Different job.
Perfume Oil — 10ml roller. Concentrated scent for pulse points. Your everyday perfume.
Embalming Oil — 4oz dropper. That same scent in a hydrating oil for body and hair.
Wear either. Wear both. The embalming oil layered underneath makes the perfume last longer.
Want to smell it first? We don’t make Embalming Oil samples, but because both come from the same master batch, the perfume oil sample smells exactly like this one. Try it in a sample pack.
How to Use
A little goes a long way.
Hair oil / hair perfume: warm a small amount and smooth through mid-length to ends.
Body: start small and build. A few drops on damp skin, sinks in dry.
Bath: a capful under running water.
Pulse points: if you please.
The Story
The porcelain doll taught young Victorians much about beauty. With their hand-sewn dresses and powder-white skin, even the most mundane of dolls were imbued with a sense of timeless elegance. And yet, a cruel lesson lay behind the doll's unblinking eyes: a beauty that stands frozen in time is most often cold to the touch.
Pairings
Made to pair with the matching Porcelain Perfume Oil. Wear the oil for scent, then layer this embalming oil on top to deepen it and make it last. Lovely through the ends of your hair, too.

Reviews
Porcelain is my favorite scent from Seance. It's powdery, clean, and sweet all at the same time. As someone who generally doesn't like floral scents - THIS ONE is a winner. The formula is very nice on skin but I prefer it in my hair, as I find the scent lasts longer.
This is my second bottle of Porcelain Embalming oil this year! It’s my favorite scent. Vanilla with warm notes of walnut and the lightest touch of powder. I love the way it clings to all my clothes and blankets leaving them smelling amazing as well! It also lets me layer some of my favorite perfume oils over it perfectly mixing with the scents-The Witching Hour & Decadence and Decay. They blend so well with the vanilla!
Nice smell that lasts all day.
Seance is gonna have all my money at this point, constantly finding my fav scent with every scent
Love love love!! This sent i cannot stop smelling myself i made the mistake of buying the cherry almond sent which smells lovely no doubt but cherry gives me bad headaches but this sent is gorgeous on me it reminds me of soap and just being clean on myself it really pushes the florals forward and ive never owned anything that has smelled like this on me i will definitely use every drop of it!!
Smells divine and makes you feel so soft.
The smell lasts so long, it makes my hair so soft, and it smells so clean and rich.
From the packaging to the haunted scent. 5/5
Fantastic product
Loved the subtle smell of powder!!
I bought this in order to layer with the perfume oil. I like sweet smells, and the vanilla accomplishes that. But the dry down to walnut is so satisfying and adds a warm, witchiness to it that even ppl not prone to sweet perfumes can’t help but like this. I coukd huddle in a corner and sniff this bottle all day.
