Despite the name, our Embalming Oil is for the living. It’s a concentrated, super-hydrating lotion oil for body, hair, and bath—made with nourishing oils and free of parabens, palm oil, and harsh chemicals. Unlike heavy creams that sit on the surface, it sinks in within minutes, leaving skin soft, scented, and suspiciously well-preserved.
The Story +
Some – not all, but enough – have remarked that the smell of the decomposed has an aroma of cherry and almond. If true, it is a reminder of the complexity of existence: that there is a beauty and a frivolity even in those things we find most serious and unpalatable. Made to pair with the matching Decadence and Decay Perfume Oil—wear the oil for scent, then layer this embalming oil on top to deepen it and make it last. Lovely through the ends of your hair, too.
