Notes: white chocolate, cream, nuts, almonds, black cherry, red cherry, cherry almond

None of our fragrances are gendered. Smoke, leather, and graveyard dirt have no opinion on who’s wearing them.

Indulgence with a pulse barely left in it—a sweet, creamy, cherry-rich hair-and-body oil, just unsettling enough to behave.

MADE BY A HAIRSTYLIST OF 20 YEARS
Two decades behind a salon chair taught me exactly what an oil should do—sink in, add shine, never turn greasy. This is what happens when a hairstylist makes a perfume: the product I always wanted that didn’t exist. Until now.
What Is an Embalming Oil?

Despite the name, our Embalming Oil is for the living. It’s a concentrated, super-hydrating lotion oil for body, hair, and bath—made with nourishing oils and free of parabens, palm oil, and harsh chemicals. Unlike heavy creams that sit on the surface, it sinks in within minutes, leaving skin soft, scented, and suspiciously well-preserved.

Perfume Oil vs. Embalming Oil

Same fragrance, mixed from the same master batch. Different job.

Perfume Oil — 10ml roller. Concentrated scent for pulse points. Your everyday perfume.

Embalming Oil — 4oz dropper. That same scent in a hydrating oil for body and hair.

Wear either. Wear both — the embalming oil layered underneath makes the perfume last longer.

Want to smell it first? We don’t make Embalming Oil samples, but because both come from the same master batch, the perfume oil sample smells exactly like this one. Try it in a sample pack.

How to Use

A little goes a long way.
Hair oil / hair perfume: warm a small amount and smooth through mid-length to ends.
Body: start small and build—a few drops on damp skin, sinks in dry.
Bath: a capful under running water.
Pulse points: if you please.

The Story

Some – not all, but enough – have remarked that the smell of the decomposed has an aroma of cherry and almond. If true, it is a reminder of the complexity of existence: that there is a beauty and a frivolity even in those things we find most serious and unpalatable. Perhaps, however, it is commentary on what it means to be truly human. Even in death, and as our bodies physically unmake themselves, we are tied forever to the sweetness of indulgence.

Pairings

Made to pair with the matching Decadence and Decay Perfume Oil—wear the oil for scent, then layer this embalming oil on top to deepen it and make it last. Lovely through the ends of your hair, too.
