The bottles on the shelf right now are the original formula. One of our formula’s main components was discontinued — not by us, and not with our permission — so when this batch is gone, our mad scientist’s new version takes its place. It won’t be identical. Will it be better? Most likely, yes. This is the last of the original.

None of our fragrances are gendered. Smoke, leather, and graveyard dirt have no opinion on who’s wearing them.

The Story
Vanitas was a style of symbolic art popular in the 16th and 17th centuries. These artworks, often still-life paintings, featured objects like skulls, extinguished candles, wilting flowers, hourglasses, and decaying fruit. The purpose was to remind viewers of the fleeting nature of life, the certainty of death, and the futility of earthly pleasures. Essentially, Memento Mori in visual form. Vanitas paintings encouraged spiritual reflection and the pursuit of virtue over vanity or materialism.
Memento Mori—“Remember you must die.” A timeless call to live with purpose.
Pairings
If you love fruit-forward scents but want something deeper than candy-sweet, this is your answer. It’s bright, layered, and just restrained enough to feel elegant—not juvenile.
Pairs beautifully with something darker like Cemetery or Opium Den to ground the sweetness—or worn alone when you want to feel a little more alive.
