The Story
A scent for those who know what belladonna does—and how much is too much. The Hedge Witch is our limited edition Fall scent. Imagine an old apothecary, wood shelves and bottles filled with herbs. Dried flowers and plants hang from the ceilings all strung out with purpose.
In the Victorian era, the hedge witch was a figure lingering at the edges—both literally and socially. These women, often poor and rural, practiced folk herbalism, midwifery, and traditional healing passed down orally for generations. The name “hedge witch” comes from their liminal position—living near the hedgerows that marked the boundary between village and wilderness, safety and superstition.
Though the age of Enlightenment had ushered in science and medicine, rural communities still turned to hedge witches for remedies, charms, and sometimes quiet curses. They were both respected and feared—consulted in secret, blamed in public. Victorian society, with its obsession for order and propriety, often viewed these women with suspicion, associating their knowledge of herbs, intuition, and cycles of nature with witchcraft and the occult.
To many, the hedge witch embodied the last breath of pre-Christian, earth-based knowledge in a rapidly industrializing world—part healer, part outcast, always one foot in the otherworld.

Parlor Ghost is my signature. But i can make room for The Hedge Witch. It’s such a gorgeous scent. Once applied, it smells of dried herb bundles and sweet florals. After about 20 min, it morphs into the smoky tobacco and spices. And finally, after about an hour of dry down, it’s the most cozy, magical, woodsy scent. It reminds me of a warm cottage in a rainy forest, complete with an herb garden and potions brewing over the fire. It’s what i imagine the Aunt’s kitchen in “Practical Magic” smells like. Pure witchcraft. It’s so enchanting. I absolutely love this perfume. It definitley called to me. If you’re a child of nature, spellbound by its healing beauty, this is for you.

LOVE it. I didn't realize how much I liked a tobacco scent. It's refreshing and cool. I got this one and a bunch more in the discovery sets they sell. So happy I did. I couldn't decide between this and Cemetery... So I made two orders!
Initially tried this scent out with the library sample pack and knew the moment I smelled it I needed the full size. It matches the description and otherwise fits its name perfectly! Came relatively quickly and beautifully packaged with my other items. Highly, highly recommend!
As someone who doesn’t like perfumes with notes of leather because it leans more towards the masculine side but this perfume oil is unisex and also has the perfect balance where it doesn’t have that very strong leather smell. At least for me because everyone’s body chemistry is different so it could smell leathery on one while it doesn’t for the other. Other than that, this perfume oil is also an instant hit with me. It smells like walking into an old herbal apothecary shop. Defintely worth the purchase and will repurchase again.
This makes you smell like youve been in the middle of the forest making potions all day. So nature-y and herby and fresh. I went on line and bought it again before this one even arrived bc I decided one isn’t enough. It is such a satisfying scent.

Was really excited for this fragrance, I usually love tobacco based scents, but this just smells overpoweringly like childrens toothpaste to me :(
